Hello everyone. I hope you are all having the happiest of holiday season.
Today, I am extra excited because I am opening the doors to our home to give you a small peek of the Christmas decorations around the house as part of Celebrate & Decorate Holiday Home Tour hosted by Chloe Crabtree. And if you are following the holiday series, welcome back. I hope you are enjoying the tour. I feel extremely lucky to be joining this group of talented bloggers. Each one an artist in their own right. The ideas and styling in this Home Holiday Tour is incredible so if you have not had the chance to visit their blogs, head down to the bottom of my post and click on the links. It is our pleasure to share photos of our decorated homes to inspire you to create. Most of all, we offer these ideas to help you make this time of the year unforgettable for you and those you love.
We await Christmas with joy because it is a time for combining the traditions we cherish with new expressions of the season's true meaning of Christmas. A time to renew friendships spend time with our families and to celebrate the traditions of the season...The familiar aromas, the warm and cozy evenings sitting by a fire and the lighting of the Rockefeller Tree are all things that make my heart fuzzy and warm during the holiday season.
Christmas really begins when the boxes of ornaments come up from the basement and that usually happens right after Thanksgiving. Many of our ornaments have a story of their own - all souvenirs of happy times past. I don't have a specific style when it comes to Christmas decorating. I approach decorating just like I approach my tablescapes, I like to mix and match. In some areas of our home you will see that I have a bit of a fun playful style while in others areas, the style is more glam. And that captures exactly who I am. Playful at times and glam when I feel a little girlie. So sit back and enjoy a glass of bubbly while you browse.
Welcome to our home! As you enter our foyer this fun vignette will greet you at the door. It easily puts a smile on my face each day. Playful, vibrant and full of character. And if you haven't noticed, I have been crushing over these adorable red pickup trucks lately. They have become increasingly popular in recent years and it's easy to see why. Just too cute to pass up. A vintage crate holding a cute Teddy, Candy canes and truck help create this whimsical Christmas display.
This particular one I found in Target during a recent visit.
Isn't Teddy adorable? Love his plaid scarf.
A light colored pre-lit lantern gives this area warmth.
A pre-lit garland decorated with stockings and ornaments adorn the staircase.
As you may have noticed, flocked Christmas trees are having a moment. They are everywhere and I must say, I have become a fan. A tree already covered with snow? How can you not love it. It is genius. Plus flocking on a tree covers the lights, making them and the wires almost undetectable when it is not lit. This pretty guy stands in one of the corners of our dining room. An enduring symbol of the season for sure.
A whimsical red and white stripped hat tops this tree so most of the ornaments decorating this tree are white and red with a few green ones in between for added color.
Another Teddy sits beneath the Christmas tree.
I continued the red and white theme in our dining room. Here I placed and old world Santa on top of one of the buffets in our dining room. It stands on top of a wicker basket layered with white vintage linens. A few white plates and red and white tea cups give this vignette a pop of color.
In our living room, the look is a bit more glam since the room has a mixture of French style furniture and rustic pieces. It is peaceful and comfortable due to its light color palette. It reflects the true personality of a girl with a true feminine heart who loves faded flowers, all things tarnish and worn and who isn't afraid to be different.

This room is often dimly lit with candles and chandelier. A gilded mirror and French style furniture give this room a romantic feel. The decorations here are definitely a little more glamorous and glittery.
A girl can never be without a pair of pink shoes around the house right?
The Christmas tree in this room is decorated in golds, reds and bronze. And to give my tree personality, he is wearing a whimsical top hat.
A view of our dining room.
And this cutie i Max. He is two years old and more loved than he will ever know.
He loves to pose for photos and he wishes you all a wonderful holiday season.
